Ok, probably not the best of news but hey I'm gonna put it here anyway as I haven't posted any news yet!
The award winning game of the year (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) now has, well you can tell from the title, a sequel. This sequel is once again under the hands of Infinity Ward (Luckily not Treyarch) and is set to release on the 10th November 2009 or in american date 11.10.09 which is what I think they were aiming for.

Inside you can read more information and view a teaser trailer with the release date announced.
Treyarch has released a new patch for the PC version of Call of Duty: World at War, bringing the game to version 1.3. The patch offers a few changes including a resolution to the Vista sound issues, and adds /record and /demo commands which allow you to record and view your multiplayer matches.
This patch is incremental, so you will be required to have patch 1.2 installed in order to apply 1.3. It weighs in at about 64 MB, and can be downloaded from one of the links below.
I am currently downloading Empire Total War through Steam. I have played the demo and would recommened to everyone else to do so.
It's greatest addition on top of the other Total War Series is the stunning sea battles. My uber system struggles to run any of this game on High so be prepared!
The only downside to the game as far as I can see is not that it requires quite a beasty PC to run but that it requires Steam to run.
A lot of people don't like Steam, I used to be the same but have recently become attached to its free games, friends system and downloading a game with the click of a couple of buttons. It's well worth trying out.
Take a look at the trailer inside!
Found this in my collection of photos from our time in Tunisia. We had a good laugh with this volley ball. People who saw it was probably wondering what it meant. Had a great time there.
Fake invites are being sent out to take part in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta - so watch out...
If you are the unlucky recipient of an e-mailed beta invite from this e-mail address: COD5BETA@infinityward.com, don't open it, just delete it. Certainly don't reply to it or click any of the links inside. The e-mail could contain viruses or be phishing for personal information.
Infinity Ward say it hasn't come from them so it's not legitimate, despite using the same text that was used in the Call of Duty 4 beta invites in 2007.
We're not sure why the e-mail is referencing COD5 rather than the COD6 prefix - after all that would make more sense, especially as World at War was known as Call of Duty 5 for a while before the title was made official. Perhaps they were just too stupid to be able to count properly.
For the record, there is no beta (yet). No doubt we'll hear more about that nearer the time, i.e. later this year.
